  • This beautiful Tahitian pearl has an intricate 18k gold crown, set with Black Diamonds and decorated with gold granules. Because pearls are formed when an irritant becomes trapped in the oyster—and the mollusk coats that intrusion with mother-of-pearl crystals—my intention for this pendant is to remind you that our wounds can be the source of our greatest gifts. Thus, the saying ‘Pearls of Wisdom’: what you have endured is what makes you more resilient, stronger and wiser. Pendant comes with a black leather necklace. Chain sold separately.

  • Pearls are thought to be the symbol of wisdom. They were once very rare. Many have written about the meaning and symbolism of pearls. One that I like is: “The Pearl Principle – no inner irritation, no pearl.” – Surya Das. Surya Das is a Buddhist spiritual and meditation teacher who wrote, “without an irritant to coat with nacre, an oyster will not create a pearl.” This is about how we need challenges and obstacles in our lives in order to grow and develop our own inner wisdom.

Diamond is one of the hardest substances on earth. It is a crystal of pure carbon. Diamonds come in many colors. They symbolize durability, intensity, and purity. They have been treasured for thousands of years and valued for their magical properties. Kings and queens thought that they could provide access to higher powers and increased intuition. Black diamonds are a carbon isotope which make them slightly harder to cut than clear diamonds. They absorb light rather than reflect it, but glitter from their reflective shiny surfaces. Black Diamond symbolizes authority and power.
