SUGILITE & YELLOW SAPPHIRE PENDANT

Made for a friend, the intention for this pendant was to provide her with an talisman of peace, protection, and abundance. The purple Sugilite stone is set in an 18k bezel and surrounded by 14k gold beads. There are 4 Yellow Sapphires and one Amethyst, each set in a 14k bezel. The pendant hangs from a 16” sterling silver chain.

Sugilite is a relatively rare mineral and was discovered in 1944 by a Japanese geologist named Kenichi Sugi. It is considered a very powerful metaphysical stone for protection against negativity. It promotes peace of mind.

Sapphire comes in many colors and are excellent gems for jewelry because of their durability. Sapphires have been prized gemstones throughout history as they were believed to attract wealth and protection. Sapphires are thought to enhance the mind and bring clarity of thinking. Yellow Sapphires have been considered a stone of prosperity and manifestation of ideas.

Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz and the name comes from the Greek word meaning “not intoxicated”. It was believed the stone would keep the wearer sober. Amethyst is a high vibrational stone and is believed to carry a tremendous amount of spiritual and metaphysical power. It is used to balance and calm the mind. It is often used to aid in meditation.
